WILLIAM LEE AUGUSTA RICE
William “Bill” Rice, age 88, born on May 9, 1934 in Nola, Mississippi passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022 at Tiffany Hall Nursing Home and Rehab in Port St Lucie, Fl. He was called to his home and the angels came to retrieve him. Prior to going into Tiffany Hall, he was living with his daughter Patricia Kaufmann. Patricia and Steve Salmasian were his care givers for the past four years. He was a Florida State Building Contractor and roofer, later he because a Bishop. He oversaw and started many ministries, as well as ordained many members of clergy. He was a beloved brother of clergy, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He enjoyed reading the Holy Bible and bringing people to God. Preceded on death by his parents James William Rice and Sylvia Nichols, and two of his brothers. He is survived by his brother, Harold Nichols of Fairfield, Alabama; his daughters Janet Guttiere, Patricia Kaufmann and Belinda McWilliams; son William Rice and Steve Salmasian; grandchildren Nicole Ryder, Kelli Grimstead, Michael Parker, Krystal Crawford, Ellis Kaufmann, Dylan Rice, Patrick Rice and Anne Rice; great grandchildren Killian Ryder, Abrianna Loff, Paisley Loff, Christopher Loff Jr., Jaxon Parker, Hailey Parker, Aayden Crawford-Kaufmann, Kolt Kaufmann, and Waylon Kaufmann; and numerous friends, brother, brothers in his Religious family, Pastors, Deacons and Bishops. He will be missed immensely by all. He has a placard on his coffin that states: Now don’t be sad and don’t shed a tear, my Lord Jesus came and got me. I am not here, my love remains. See you all soon. On his grave marker, he wanted this to be put on it: We love you, as you loved us dearly. Also: Didn’t always walk perfect, always walked in God’s Love. Any donations, please send them to a Church of choice or to a homeless shelter.
