Obituary of Sonia Vallon

Sonia Destine Vallon was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, moved to Miami, FL in the Year 1978 with her Husband Joseph Constant Vallon and Son Charles to join their family members.
Sonia was an original member of The Haitian Community in Miami, Florida. She was the founder of the Haitian Charismatic Group Named “Jesus Misericorde” still in place at The Notre Dame d’Haiti Catholic Church. Sonia opened up her home to host the group’s first meeting.
Sonia was the reader of the Creole Readings during the mass that was celebrated at the Tamiami Park on May 2nd 2014 in Miami FL by Pope John Paul II (now Saint John Paul II).
Sonia is survived by her Husband Joseph Constant; Son Charles; Grandchildren: Krystal, Aaron, Jaden; Brother: Jean Claude; Sisters: Edith, Mireille, Yvette, Marie Yolene; Nephews: Gerald, Ludwick, Richard, Clermond, Jean, Michael D, Yves-Patrick, Michael S, Ernest; Nieces: Muriel, Natacha, Yolene C, Donna, Michelle, Erica, Guirlande, Yolene V, Magalie; Cousins: Freda, Anne-Marie, Marlene, Rosemarie, Archie, Frantz, Marie-Jose, Gerald, Immacula, Marie Therese, Delourdes and their children. She is also survived by great nephews and nieces.
Sonia loved and cherished deeply all her God-Children.
She had a special place in her heart for Sonia Hutchinson also know as “Soso”.
Sonia will be greatly missed by family members and friends. She’ll be remembered for her saying: “I love you more”.
The family members express their gratitude and appreciation to everyone who have reached out to them during this time of sorrow and kindly ask not to send flowers to the church, and to instead send a donation to The American Cancer Society.
