Hi Shane, how are you? I was just thinking today about reaching out to you but then I remembered... I can't believe it's been over a year and I haven't been able to cope with losing you. I especially can't forgive myself for not being there for you. I miss you so much but I took you for granted. Losing you has changed me forever. Life holds a different value to me now. I'm sorry I didn't value you more. All of you kids deserved so much more. I made a video for you but I can't get it to post. I met someone who said he knows you. He was really shaken to hear about your and Tibi's passing. His name is Anthony. Anyhow, I was just checking in. I miss you so much. I've been crying since you left but I would never take you away from there. You always meant so much to me and to all of us. Shame on us for not making sure you always knew that. I will love you forever. I should've made sure you knew that. Make sure you let you your mom know that you're ok. She misses you more than you can imagine. Love you so much baby boy, good night. xoxo

Hey Shane, It's me mom. We recently had your birthday party. We let 23 balloons go for your and ate a cookie cake, that Kenji put his fingers in. I hope you are doing well in Heaven. I often call out to you and just talk to you. I imagine in my mind the things you would say back to me...I probably sound like a crazy person, but I don't care. The truth is, I should have spent more time with you on the phone and in person. I should have never moved from Cooper City. I should have stuck it out and just figured it out. Aunt Louise says not to say "should have". Anyways, I do miss your smile, voice, laugh and faking not wanting my hugs and kisses. I also miss running my fingers through your beautiful red hair and praying silent prayers over you while you slept. I miss how you would yell at me and tell me everything I do is wrong. I miss everything about you. I can't wait to see you. I love you son.

I said it that day and I will say it again, Bubba AKA Shane had a heart of gold, he loved his family and he loved his friends. He always looked for the good in people no matter who they were or what other people thought of them, a trait you very rarely see. He was Truly too good for this world so God took him home. Shane,
It has been 6 months now and I still feel just as lost and in pain as the first day you left us. I try so hard to keep moving along and I try to do the things I need to because I have no other options, but it’s not an easy road for me. Sometimes when I’m in the house alone, I’ll see a shadow pass me by and feel a loud breath in my ear and I just say, “Hey Shane”. I know God has you sitting high in His kingdom and He’s not sending you back down here to watch me wash the dishes or cry, but I do like to think it’s you. There’s so much to tell you. Jasmin got her own place with Elise and guess who else?? Mattie Amberg, Brandon’s little sister. I thought you would be happy to know that. Jasmin also got a different job at the Christian Preschool, as a teachers aide. I know you would be so proud of her. Hayden starts high school next week. Can you believe that?? Your baby sister is in High School. I still hear your words everyday reminding me to stay on top of her. I’m doing that, or trying at least. The girls got me a bear from build a bear- that place in the mall. They put your voice in it. The video you sent of the tattoo you got me for Christmas. Oh, I also got your name on my heart. When I miss you badly, I put my hand over my heart (with your name on it), close my eyes, smile and cry. Brittany took the jeep from Dad. She’s fixing it up and Belle still talks about you. She sure does miss you. We all do. Jesse and Jocelyn came up to visit. It was really nice. I wish you would have brought Jesse up with you before. Every time he comes I have dreams of you asking to come or already being here. Well that’s about all for now. It’s 8/1/23 and the days are all mixed together. It’s like my mind is just waiting for you to show up. I love you my sweet beautiful boy.

I love and miss you so much Shane❤️ I can't wait to see you again. I wish we all could've had more time with you and I would give anything for all of us to have even just one more day with you. Since you left us here I have seen so many miracles and I know you are up there praying for all of us just like you were when you were with us. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you and I know we all feel the same. Not gonna lie, this is really hard but I know you're in the best hands now. Q: What was Shane's favorite recipe?
A: Most recently, Shane’s favorite recipe was his own creation of meatloaf. He added different herbs and baked it just right. I’ll never forget the time that he called me and told me how he made his and that his was better than mine. I laughed. Then he asked asked what herbs and seasonings did I use. We exchanged our secrets to a great meatloaf and I told Shane that he would have to make it for me when came up because I didn’t believe it was better than me (wink wink). He told me, “Nice try mom” and laughed. I’ll never forget that day.

I only knew Shane for a short time but I can honestly say meeting Shane was a blessing. I considered him as a older brother. He would always check up on me and I would always make sure he was doing good. When I had a really bad day, the first person I went to was shane and he helped me and supported me. I’ll never in my life forget shane and how his laugh and smile could light a million rooms up.

Q: What will you miss most about Shane?
A: The things I will miss most about Shane is when i would call him and he would just make everything better. Or when we would drive up to the gas station blasting music and dancing. And I will miss how you would always take the orange gummy’s from my gummy pack because i hate the orange ones. And i’ll miss how you would always take my side when moms upset with me and i’ll just miss everything about you because not only were you my brother you were my bestfriend. Someone who i could always trust and someone who would always give me advice. I love you Shane and not a day goes by without you on my mind. I miss you. <3

You were the first Miles I met, Shane. We were so little, and we’d all play outside together. Even as we got older you’d still let me embarrass you in front of you friends, I’d always come up to say hi and ask for a hug. You’d try to hide it, but your radiant smile always peaked through, and you never me turned down. You had unconditional love for those around you, and it showed brother.
You guided me to you’re big, beautiful family who I now consider my own, and Shane I wish I thanked you and I wish I could repay you. You were an angel on earth. I will do my best to spread love and kindness like you did, Shane, and every time I do, it will be in your name. I wish you knew how loved you are, and how much of an impact you left on all of our lives. I am forever grateful to have met you Shane, I love you and I miss you.

The day I found out I was pregnant with you, my life changed. The day I brought you home, my life felt complete. You are such a light. The sweetest, warmest, biggest smile I had ever seen. Every time you laughed my heart melted. I made sure to always tell you how proud of you I was because I was and am proud of you. You kept me going through some hard times. Even when we had struggles, I still loved you through them; never giving up on you. I will never forget you. It’s impossible. I miss you every day. Insist and go through photos everyday of you from birth to 21. I listen to your last voicemail and your videos you sent me. I will never forget the day that Shane came in my room asking if he could have some of my pretzels that were covered in chocolate and strawberry chocolate. And I gave him the chocolate ones and said you can have these and he said “I’ll try the chocolate ones, but if I don’t like them, let me have the other ones”, but he was saying in a funny voice. And he tried the chocolate ones and he was like “i’ll take these ones. These are good.” and walked away then came back later and I asked for my strawberry chocolate ones. And I just laughed and gave him them. Shane was always eating my snacks but i knew i was never gonna eat them. Shane was a really funny person who made everybody laugh. He would always tell me stories about him and his friends doing dumb but funny things. Shane was a really good kid with a big heart. I miss Shane.

Shane I can't believe you're gone. I love you so much. I'll never forget how happy I was when your mom told me she was pregnant with you. I counted the days until I could hold you and once I did I never wanted to let you go. You were my first nephew and I always loved you like a son. I watched you grow and I remember your laughter and your tears, when you were so happy and when you were hurting. I prayed for you every single night and many times throughout the day with your mom and other times over the phone with you and so often while holding your hand. I will forever cherish every memory with you. Every single hug you didn't deny me and every smile you tried to hide from me. I can't believe that I can't check on you anymore. I miss you so much but I do know that God loves you so much that he just couldn't watch you suffer in this world anymore. I love you so much Shane. Just like Esther said the other day, "Bye bye Bubba, see you soon!"
