Obituary of Roger Jay Leff

Roger Jay Leff age 74 of Pembroke Pines passed away on January 24, 2023 in Hollywood Fl. Celebration of Life will be held at the Scarano Funeral Home 9000 Pines Blvd Pembroke Pines. Visitation will be held at Scarano Funeral Home Saturday January 28th from 2pm to 6pm. Roger was born in Springfield Massachusetts to Norton Leff and Beatrice Hoffman Leff. He went to North Miami Senior High School and graduated in 1966. He served in the Navy from 1968 through 1977. He went on to earn a degree in History and Political Science from University of Central Florida. He worked for the Broward County School system as a Science and Social Studies teacher. He was involved with the Jewish War Veterans, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Broward County Teachers Union. Roger is survived by his wife Barbara Humphreys of Pembroke Pines, his daughter Pamela Leff Walker, Step children Colleen Humphreys, William Humphreys, Kathleen Humphreys and Dorian Ramos, niece Jennifer Proctor, Grandchildren Lillian Walker, Vivian Walker and Xavier Leff. He is predeceased by wife Patricia Major Leff, son Benjamin Leff, sister Susan Leff Weinstock parents Norton and Beatrice Leff and stepmother Rae Koshar Leff.
