Obituary of Joseph Franklin Guffey

JOSEPH FRANKLIN GUFFEY "SONNY" Born May 29, 1936 Died February 10, 2023 Chattanooga, TN Cooper City, FL ----------------------------------------------- The love of my life lived to 86 years old. Married 49 years to Lolane Guffey (Lois Elaine). Survived by his two sons, Daniel Guffey and Ryan Guffey. "Sonny" had two grandchildren, Nicole Guffey and Jake Guffey; and two great grandchildren, Cora Josack and Skip Josack. Dan's wife is Robin Guffey and Ryan's wife is Sevini Guffey. He was a great superintendent for Arkin Construction Company, Miami Beach, FL for 43 years and worked on or built many high-rise condominiums and buildings, including: 1957, Dupont Plaza Hotel; 1957, City National Bank; 1963, Variety Children's Hospital; 1964-1966, Forte Towers; 1971, Ocean Pavilion; Golden Surf; 1972-73, Aquarius in Hallandale Beach (where I met Sonny); 1975, Wilshire condos; 1978, West Bird Shopping Center; 1984, Club Atlantis; 1985, IVAX Building for Phillip Frost; 1986, M.R.I. Building, Mount Sinai; 1986, Sheridan Building; 1988 Rusty Pelican Restaurant in Key Biscayne; 1989, Mediterranean Village; 1990 Island Club, Claughton Island; Rebecca Towers, and probably more. He has had a home also in Costa Rica for 13 years and had wonderful adventures over there since 1995 with really great people. We have been so blessed!
