Obituary of Alfonso Mario Melone

Alfonso was a soft spoken gentle person. He was a quiet man who was a practicing Catholic and a 40 year plus resident of Hollywood. He was never a boastful person living a non-extravagant and simple life. He would always come to the aid of friends when in need and would frequently volunteer in the community he loved. He possessed a sharp wit and was a sports fan. A life long Yankee fan and would frequently wear his Derek Jeter t-shirt. He was the youngest child and last surviving member of his immediate family. All of his surviving extended family lives in the New Jersey area where he and his two brothers were born and raised. He had two wonderful caregivers the last couple years of his life. He dealt with quite dignity with his sickness and is now at peace and with his family in heaven! Alfonso Mario Melone passed away Monday May 8, 2023 in Hollywood, Florida. In Repose Tuesday May 16, 2023 from 2-5 P.M. at the Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel, Funeral Mass will be Wednesday May 17, 2023 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M., Entombment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. in North Lauderdale, Florida.
