Obituary of Emilio Jimenez

JIMENEZ July 4, 2023 Today God called Emilio to heaven. He died from complications relating to his heart. After immigrating from Cuba in 1962, he started working for ILA, building a career that spanned over 50 years, rising from a humble longshoreman to union delegate. Despite all the obstacles in his life, he never gave up and kept fighting for a better life for himself and his family, proving the American Dream that so many come here for is achievable and, staying true to himself, went out with a bang on the independence day of the country he loved so much. A beloved family man, he is survived by his wife Dee, children Emilio and Hilda, grandson Matt, daughter-in-law Barbara, son-in-law Mike, grandnephew Marlón, and siblings. A larger-than-life individual, he will be sorely missed. He was 85 years old. Julio 4, 2023 Hoy Dios se llevó Emilio al cielo, que murió de complicaciones relativas a su corazón.
