Hi Doug, I will never get the chance again to say thank you for all you did for me. I Won’t forget the awesome time we had with you in Miami. You were always a funny, joking, and cheerful guy. I was lucky to meet Doug working for the same aviation company nearly ten years ago. He served as the training leader for one of our largest operations, over his long career with us he helped train and develop hundreds of new team members, graciously sharing his knowledge and lessons learned over 30 years of service. He was always up for a challenge when we had needs in Miami and beyond, and I’ll forever remember his positive and practical approach to work and life. He was a special guy who impacted the lives of many, and he will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything Doug.

Doug went from “the guy that moved in across the street” to “my brother “– with an all access pass to my refrigerator in no time at all. We spent time working on our jeeps together and front porch sittin’ with other neighbors (pronounced Park Street fam). Doug had beehives in his backyard and would always provide us with fresh honey from what he called “Park Street farms“. Sharing recipes and neighborhood cooks were always on the list. Doug, we loved your moms recipe for mustard sauce that you always made for the ham on Christmas. Christmas won’t be the same without our friendly fight with lights – no deer were ever harmed.* LOL. Gonna miss you a lot Doug. We will always keep an open chair for you on the front porch right next to the sprinkler. And remember the Halloween candy will always be next-door.

For several years, I commuted to my job as a UPS pilot based in Miami, via my private airplane. Doug would always meet me on the ramp in Miami with a smile, and take wonderful care of the airplane while I was there. He was always hospitable, friendly and very caring. I sure miss him.
