Obituary of Deacon Carl R. Carieri

Please share a memory of Deacon Carl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Deacon Carl Richard Carieri, 85 of Cooper City Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on 8/4/2023 surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born in Parkchester in The Bronx NY to James and Amelia Carieri on February 9th 1938. Carl was the oldest of the four sons. Carl, Bob, Richard and John. Carl has now joined his brothers and parents in heaven. I can only imagine the joy and the laughter when the "Carieri Boys" were reunited! Carl graduated from Cardinal Hayes High school, was the first in his family to go to college and graduated from Fordham University. While attending college, Carl was in the ROTC program for the United States Marine Corps. Upon his graduation he became a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps and proudly served his country. He went on to gain his Masters degree from Fairfield University, as he loved learning, and was always striving to be a better man. 35 years ago Carl felt called to higher service and entered the Diaconate Program, after completing 3 years in the Seminary he was ordained as a Deacon on January 5th 1991. Carl was an accomplished businessman with a very successful career in sales, and executive recruiting, but it was his 32 years of service as a Deacon that brought him so much joy. He helped countless people through his counseling, loved baptizing babies, performed some of the most beautiful and personal marriage ceremonies, and helped many grieving families with their funeral services. His love for people was evident in everything he did. Carl was the most loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always available to lend a shoulder, give advice, share a laugh, and most importantly to help gently guide people to seek Jesus. Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years Rosemarie, his children Frank and Michele, his grandchildren Taylor and Joe, his great grandchild Evelyn, the Murphy Family and his parish family at St Maximilian Kolbe. Carl now joins his granddaughter and namesake Carly in heaven, and I am sure that reunion was spectacular. While we are all grieving the loss of this wonderful man, please know that Carl was so happy to be going home to be with the Lord!
