Obituary of Jean Rene Edouard

Jean René Edouard, 56, of Gonaïves, Haïti, passed away at Jackson North Hospital in North Miami on September 10, 2023. There will be a “Celebration of Life” ceremony on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 180 NE 156th Street, North Miami, FL 33162. It will be an “All-White” dress code event. The family will be handling the funeral arrangements. Jean René was born on November 15, 1966 in Gonaïves (“capitale de la République de l’Artibonite”), Haïti to Julienne Edouard. He attended Lycée Geffrard des Gonaïves. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management at DeVry University in 2018. His interests included reading as many literatures from all over the world. He was a fervent writer, having completed over 30 poems and a novel. He was an enthusiastic traveler, connoisseur of fine wines, ingenious chef, trustworthy friend, passionate and devoted husband and, above all, an unconditional proud father. He also was a fervent advocate about anything concerning his country and his beloved Gonaïves. His sense of humor, his superb metaphorical ripostes, his brilliant and subtle sarcasm and his jokes will be missed by his family and friends. Jean René is survived by his wife (Carmel), son (Carll), two daughters (Flor and Socra Renée), brothers (Julio and Ronald), sisters (Sabine, Claudine, Djénane, Stéphanie, Emmanuella, Irma, Carole), mother-in-law (Socra), adoptive mom (Roselore), father-in-law (Faubert), sisters-in-law (Gréta, Gaelle, Annie, Jo-Ann, Anyerina), brothers-in-law (Hantz and Pierre-Ronald), nieces, nephews, godsons, cousins, aunts and uncles.
