Obituary of Suzanne Sawyer Zopfi

ZOPFI Suzanne Sawyer Zopfi, 87, of Pembroke Pines, FL passed away peacefully at home on December 15th, 2023. Visitation will be held at Scarano Memorial Chapel, 9000 Pines Blvd Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 on Tuesday, December 19th from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held at Scarano Memorial Chapel, 9000 Pines Blvd Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 on Wednesday, December 20th at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Dade Memorial, 1301 Opa Locka Blvd Miami, FL 33167. Suzanne was born in Miami, FL to Mary Parsons and William Sawyer on September 23, 1936. She graduated high school from Miami Jackson High in 1954. She received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from University of Miami in 1958 and continued her education earning her master’s degree in Science from St. Thomas University. She worked as a Speech and Hearing Therapist for Miami Dade County Schools for over 40 years retiring in 2001. Suzanne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert E. Zopfi. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary M. Quinn and Stephanie A. LeBlanc, her son Robert S. Zopfi and her daughter-in-law Jill Zopfi. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian LeBlanc and wife Heather LeBlanc, Jen Quinn, Eric LeBlanc and wife Sheryl LeBlanc, Michael Quinn, Lauren LeBlanc, Kevin Zopfi, and Victoria Zopfi, and gre at-grandchildren Connor and Tyler LeBlanc. A woman of indomitable intelligence, thoughtful conversations, unwavering honesty, and a vibrant spirit, Suzanne left a profound impact on all of us. She was cherished by loving friends and family and will be dearly missed, but forever remembered. Please keep the Zopfi family in your thoughts and prayers. The Joseph A.
