Maria Adilia Gardela Ramirez, conocida como Lily nacida el 4 de Julio de 1944. De un hogar de inmigrantes italianos y españoles, Gregorio Gardela Fonseca y Socorro Ramirez Castro en el puerto de Quepos, océano pacifico de Costa Rica. Murió el 17 de enero del 2024 a las 10 pm a los 79 años en la casa de su hijo Jorge Gardela en Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Su infancia y adolescencia transcurrió entre zonas bananeras, montañas y la capital de San Jose. Sus hermanos, profesionales en economía, periodismo y profesores han sido personas reconocidas en el país. Todos seres humanos muy solidarios. Le sobreviven sus hermanos Fernando, Flor, Tulio y Ofelia. De la parte parental: Amelia, Jose, Víctor, Rolando, Melva, Denia y Francisco. Lily tuvo cuatro hijos: Jorge, Ana, Olga y Gioconda, cuatro nietos Jorge Antonio, Rodrigo, Andrea, Andres y cinco bisnietos: Thiago, Luka, Madelyne, Matthew, y Julián formando una familia numerosa y muy unida. Viuda de hace muchos años de Manuel Antonio Barquero. Sus hermanos fallecidos son Gregorio, Blanca e Isabel. De la parte parental Miguel y Gerardo. Se puede nombrar muchas cualidades sobre Lily, de las que sobresalen su pasión por la política, y su labor social en su comunidad. Fue una persona solidaria con su familia y vecinos, de un carácter fuerte, jovial y alegre, muy trabajadora desde su adolescencia. Como vicepresidenta del Comité Comunal de Salitrillos fue reconocida por su labor en la creación del Distrito # 7. A Lily le gustaba las actividades sociales y degustar los buenos vinos y el baile. También recibió reconocimientos por la asistencia de adquisición de vivienda para personas de bajos ingresos. Maria Adilia Gardela Ramirez, known as Lily, born July 4, 1944. From a home of Italian and Spanish immigrants, Gregorio Gardela Fonseca and Socorro Ramirez Castro in the port of Quepos, Costa Rica’s Pacific Ocean. She died on January 17, 2024 ,10 pm 79 years old at the home of her son Jorge Gardela in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her childhood and adolescence was between banana plantations, mountains, and the capital of San Jose. Her siblings, professionals in economics, journalism and teachers have been recognized people in the country. All of them great human beings She is survived by her siblings Fernando, Flor, Tulio and Ofelia. From the parental side: Amelia, Jose, Víctor, Rolando, Melva, Denia and Francisco. Lily had four children: Jorge, Ana, Olga and Gioconda, four grandchildren Jorge Antonio, Rodrigo, Andrea, Andres and five great-grandchildren: Thiago, Luka, Madelyne, Matthew, and Julián forming a large and very close family. Widow of many years of Manuel Antonio Barquero. Many qualities can be named about Lily, of which her passion for politics stands out, and her social work in her community. She was a person in solidarity with family and neighbors, of a strong, jovial and cheerful character, very hard working since her adolescence. As vice-chair of the Salitrillos Community Committee she was recognized for her work in creating District 7. Lily liked social activities and tasting good wines and dancing. She also received recognition for housing assistance for low-income people. In Repose Sunday, January 21,2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Please keep the Gardela family in your thoughts and prayers.
