Obituary of John F. Jacob Jr.

John Frederick Jacob Jr., 82, of Pembroke Pines Florida, passed away on June 14, 2024 in Davie Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Joseph A Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel, 9000 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines Florida on July 2, 2024 at 3:00pm. John was born in Baltimore Maryland to John F Jacob Sr and Ruth J Wooldridge on July 9, 1941. He went to Hialeah High School and graduated in 1959. John joined the United States Air Force in 1960 and was Honorably Discharged in 1966. John worked for Florida Power and Light Company for over 40 years. John volunteered a lifetime of services to the City of Pembroke Pines as part of HOA boards, the Citizens Police Academy, Parking Enforcement, Memorial Hospital, and most notably served on the City’s development board, including the Board of Adjustment and Planning and Zoning for over 30 years, where he helped shape the development of the City of Pembroke Pines. John is survived by his wife, Carole Jacob of Pembroke Pines, Children William Jacob, Donna Jacob-Rye and John F Jacob III, Grandchildren Casey Clair, Amanda Jacob, Samantha Jacob-Mercado and Cameron Jacob, Great Grandchildren Delany Clair, Everly Clair and Brooks Mercado. He is preceded in death by his sister Juanita Jacob. Please keep the Jacob, Jr. family in your thoughts and prayers. The Joseph A.
