I only know my mother’s best friend as Aunt Frances. That is for good reason! My mother and she were classmates and friends in college. They were line sisters as well as charter members of Delta Sigma Theata sorority inc. She and my mother were also teachers in the School District of Philadelphia. I feel it’s no coincidence that her son (Roy) and I are so alike. We are one year and a month difference in age. Anyway, I remember Aunt Frances as a very proud and clear spoken women. I see why my mother and she were great friends. Like minds think the same! Roy and I are alike also in the passion for engineering and mechanics.
When I got the word of Aunt Frances passing, I had the same feeling that I got when my mother passed. I want the entire Sterling family to stay strong and come together during this difficult time. I just know that in heaven, the best teachers and parents that you can have are all reunited and are holding class. It’s loud up there also!!
I wish the greatest love and compassion for Aunt Frances’s family especially during this difficult time.
