Carl Yves-Pierre Jeanty Obituary

Carl Yves-Pierre Jeanty Jr. was born on April 18, 1970, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to the late Adrienne and Carl Jeanty Sr. At the age of three, he moved with his family to Brooklyn, New York, where he attended public schools and graduated from Clara Barton High School in 1988. He later completed some college credits. In 1999, Carl relocated to Philadelphia, seeking new opportunities, and had brief stays in Baltimore, Maryland, and Charlotte, North Carolina. He finally settled in Pembroke Pines, Florida, in 2015.

Throughout his life, Carl held various jobs, excelling as a sales manager, security, and telemarketer. His natural ability to connect with people made him a true people person, and he was never without work or a way to earn a living. Carl greeted everyone with a smile, and if you were family or a close friend, you were likely to receive a special nickname from him.

A passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and other Philadelphia sports teams, Carl was always on the edge of his seat during games, eagerly calling plays. When not watching sports, he enjoyed listening to sports radio and podcasts. Known for his helpful nature, Carl might have claimed he wasn’t skilled with his hands, but his quick thinking could troubleshoot car issues, computer problems, and even lend a hand in the kitchen. His vibrant conversations were filled with encouragement and humor, ensuring that there was never a dull moment in his company.

Carl had an eclectic taste in music, enjoying hip hop, Kompas, and 80s reggae. His singing was legendary, often bringing laughter to those around him. He loved watching TV series, murder mysteries, movies, and comedy shows. With a keen eye for fashion, he always donned stylish sneakers and made sure he smelled great. Above all, Carl cherished his family and relished quality time spent with them. As a devoted Christian, he had a deep love for the Lord.

Carl, affectionately known by many nicknames, with "Junior" being the most popular, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2024, at the age of 54. He is survived by his sons, Carl Jeanty II and David Williams, his former wife and dear friend Teresa Jeanty, and his cherished grandchildren: David Williams Jr., Lyric Williams, and Harlem Williams. He is also survived by his siblings: Guy R. Theus, Carlyne Herod, Cardy Delbrune, Marjorie Alexis, and Danielle Jeanty-Curry, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a Grand Nephew he was eager to meet.

Every time we hear a car with a booming bass, we’ll remember Carl and smile. He will be profoundly missed and never forgotten. As he always said, “I love you to the moon and back.” We love you, Carl—Pop, Jun, Junior, Uncle Jr., Favorite Little Brother, and Peachez.
