Laura Price Nash, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81 on Friday, November 29, 2024, leaving a void that will never be filled.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents, John Price (brother), Edna Bush (sister), Velma Endicott (sister), and Jerry Price (brother). She is survived by her husband of over 57 years, David R Nash of Miami, Florida, her two sons, David M Nash and James M “Mike” Nash, and her granddaughter (Alexandra M Nash). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout Florida and Alabama.
Laura was born on November 20, 1943, in Bonifay, Florida to Lorenzo Dowl “Jack” Price and Gladys Gunn. She graduated from Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1962, after which she worked at various jobs before meeting David. They married in 1967 before welcoming their two sons. One of her proudest accomplishments was becoming a grandmother, a role she cherished more than any other until her last moments.
She will forever be remembered as a gentle soul and protector of her children. For Laura, there was no higher calling in life than to be a mother and grandmother.
Family and friends will be welcomed from 9 am to 12 noon on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at Scarano Funeral Home located at 9000 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024. Immediately following this service, family and friends are welcome to gather in celebration and share memories of Laura at the Davie Women’s Club located at 6551 Orange Dr, Davie, FL 33314 from 12:00 until 6:00. A light meal and refreshments will be provided.
