Obituary of Peter Francis Bennett
Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father, Peter Francis Bennett, who left us to be with the Lord on January 12, 2025 at the age of 79.
Peter is survived by his daughter Rhonda Core-Weiner, his son-in-law Lawrence Weiner, his grandsons David Core, Daniel Core and his wife Stephanie, his Great Grandchildren D.J. Core and Emberlee Core, his ex-wife Kris Bennett Cummings and Joe, his sister-in-law Debbie Quintas and her husband Fernando Quintas, Nieces Alexandra Quintas, Kristin Carrera and her husband Tony, his Grand Nephews Lukas, Enzo & Leo Carrera. Nephew David Quintas and his wife Jacklyn Quintas, his Grand Nephews Gabriel and Ethan Quintas.
Peter was born on February 8, 1945 in London, England to Robert & Margaret Bennett. His father was from Cairo, Ga and his mother was from London, England.
Peter worked for Delta Air Lines for thirty years as a Ticket Counter Agent and Baggage Claim until he retired and worked at Dicks Sporting Goods, Home Depot and Costco where he greeted everyone with a smile and made his own designer hats himself to put a smile on everyone’s face.
Peter was passionate about golfing, fishing and being the best handyman around. He was funny and entertaining especially at Christmastime when he would always work his hardest to be the best and win the ugliest sweater contest…and he ALWAYS did!
Peter was an active member of Calvary Fellowship Church and cherished the amazing friendships he had with the congregation and his Pastor.
