Obituary of James Bernreuter

Jim was a lifelong member of St. Bernadette, son of founding members. He received the sacraments here and grew up in this parish. He was one of the first lay Eucharist Ministers. He worked as a PE teacher and coach throughout the community over the years. He was a beloved son, brother, father and friend. He carried his final cross well. It strengthened his faith and drew him closer to God. We will miss his laugh most of all. He is survived by his wife Amy Bernreuter, his sisters Kathleen and Marie, and his 3 children Christina, Marlo and Joseph. The family has requested that if anyone would like to wear Hurricane colors(green and orange) to either the viewing and the funeral that it would be acceptable as James was a huge supporter of University of Miami. Donations may be made to St. Bernadette. Visiting Hours are Wednesday, September 22, 2016 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Joseph A. Scarano Presidential Circle Memorial Chapel.
