Obituary of Angelo Catroppa
Please share a memory of Angelo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Angelo Catroppa of Pembroke Pines, known to family and friends as "Big Al"; passed away on September 18, 2016 at the age of 88 years old. Angelo was born on January 1, 1928. He was a proud war time veteran who served in the 8th Cavalry in our U.S. Army in 1947. His world became meaningful when he met his Coney Island sweetheart, his beloved Fran, "Squirrel", and he is continuing his eternal existence with her now. She was everything to him and completed him. The thing that gave him the most joy was living, laughing, eating pasta, and of course family time together either at Lake George or just for a few our hours.
Angelo will be forever remembered by his three girls Emily, Nancy and Gloria. He will also be remembered by his son-in-laws Elliot and Rich. Angelo leaves behind in life and love four grandchildren Rachel, Nicole, Justin, and his best friend Jaimie. He also was grateful for two great grandchildren, Noah and Jonah. His pride for each of them was constantly expressed to them, equal to the pride they had in him. He is survived by a brother Raymond, and a predeceased brother, Pasquale.
His spirit and joy for life and love will continue to live in each of them. Just as he signed all his cards, "Love Always".
A celebration of a beautiful life will be held on September 22 from 1pm to 4 pm and from 6pm to 8pm.
