Obituary of Fern Mc Hugh

Fern A. McHugh April 21, 1924 - July 24, 2016 "Mom" Fern Anzalone McHugh was the daughter of Pauline and Pasquale Anzalone. She was born in Brooklyn New York to a large Italian family with whom she lived until marring her first husband, Jack Sinamian, with whom she had two children, Delores (Alexandra) and Jackie Sinamian. Upon the untimley death of her husband Jack, she remained in her apartment in Brooklyn with her two small children for several years. It was there through her good neighbor, Helen Smith (Aunt Helen) that she first met the "love of her life", Eugene McHugh. They would marry and within two years add a son Patrick and then a daughter Fern to their family. Two years after a move to California came their son James McHugh. Fern and Eugene were married for 64 years and we celebrate today because she is with her most loved husband Gene, her daughter Delores (Alexandra) and her two sons, Jack and Patrick, and her grandson Brian, as well as her many family members and friends who went before her. Fern was a stay at home mom and a perfect example of how to raise five children, making sure that each of them felt that they were loved and cherished. She taught each of us the value of family and how important that bond is for future generations. Mom was an amazingly beautiful woman and a precious gift to her family. We know how fortunate, we were to have her for so many years. She was the strength that kept our family together as the matriarch of our clan. Mom is survived by her Children: Fern & Paul Tirone, Jim and Aggie McHugh, of Davie, Florida. Grandchildren: Michelle & Kurt Miner of California, Jeffrey E. Sims and Zachary Sims, Patrick & Keone McHugh, Jim and Vanessa McHugh, Scott & Christopher McHugh, Kaylie McHugh of South Florida & Jack Sinamian of California. Great Grandchildren: Bradley, Lexi, Delaney & Kensi Miner. Alise, Scarlet and Olivia Mchugh, Jaxon & Zoe Mchugh. Sister In Law and best friend Patricia Cavallino of Tamarac, Florida.
