Q: What will you miss most about Diogenes?
A: When I first met Filpo I got a smile which is something I will always get and remember. I loved playing dominoes with him and dancing with him. He was always there for me and my family especially my kids who loved being around him. Filpo I still see your smile and I will miss you with all my heart ❤️.

Diogenes always greeted us & others with open arms and had a smile on his face. We would see him often at his daughter, Alba & Kirk’s house and was blessed to spend many holidays with him. Abuelo made life more fun by making Tik tok videos with us, laughing, and celebrating with us. He was a pleasure to know & we are blessed to have had him in our lives. We will always remember you & miss you Abuelo. We are praying for his family & friends during this difficult time. Until we meet again, rest easy. Love you guys. Love, Keara & Seth Sarmento

What can One say about a Friend that won't ever be forgotten. when my Family and I first moved into Lake Forest, He was the welcoming Neighbor, the one that was willing to throw in a helping hand even before it was needed. For 20 plus years we were neighbors. For 20 Plus years, we were friends, for 20 plus years I had a brother from another mother. I remember that this man always had a project going on. From Planting to building to Painting something. I recall the Grey Mercedes he drove, slowly but he would get there.
Theres is a song by Luke Bryan called "Drink a beer" which captures much of what I feel.
